Patients with private health insurance have the choice to be treated as either public or private patients.
Those patients who elect to use private health insurance are assisting Echuca Regional Health to provide a better service, maintain facilities and make a valuable contribution to our future. In return these patients receive additional benefits during their stay.
By electing to be admitted as a privately insured patient and using the Simplified Billing Service you will have no out of pocket expenses including your private insurance excess. All accounts incurred during your hospital stay will be collated and billed directly to your health fund on your behalf.
Prior to your stay our Private Patient Liaison Officer will be in contact with you to confirm your level of private health cover (assuming it is not an emergency admission).
Our Private Patient Liaison Officer will be available to answer any queries you may have regarding your hospital stay and the processes involved.
We will Guarantee No Out of Pocket Expenses will be incurred (with the exception of Dental and Eye Surgery)
Simplified Billing Service will provide you with a detailed statement at the end of your hospital visit with a balance of zero
