Pathology

Goulburn Valley Health operates the Pathology department at Echuca Regional Health which provides: 

• An on site specimen collection service; 
• Comfortable collection cubicles - operated by well qualified and experienced staff; 
• On site Laboratory testing for most of the routine tests, using state of the art equipment. Tests not performed at Echuca are forwarded to Goulburn Valley Health for analysis.

The service is open for outpatient specimen collection between 8.30 am and 4.45 pm Monday to Friday and 9.00 am to 11.00 am on Saturday mornings. The Laboratory provides an on call service 24 hours each day, seven days a week for hospital emergencies.

To enable collection of specimens, all patients require a referral from their Doctor. Appointments are recommended for Glucose Tolerance Tests only.

On presentation of a Medicare card, all patients are bulk billed.
