November 2007 - Purchase of new electric beds
Echuca Regional Health has taken ownership of 40 new electric beds from Huntleigh Health Care, thanks to the funding provided by the Echuca Regional Health Foundation.
The new beds will replace manual beds aged in excess of 15 years, providing nursing staff with ergonomic and safe equipment, meeting the ‘No Lift’ Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
The new beds will provide patients with increased comfort and independence, enabling them to reposition themselves as desired with the push of button. All beds are fitted with static foam pressure reduction mattresses which provide additional comfort and assist in reducing the risk of development of pressure ulcers.
