Murray to Moyne 2010

The Murray to Moyne cycle Relay has historically been Echuca Regional Health’s major fundraising event and has enable us to purchase vital pieces of equipment and undertake projects that otherwise would have been difficult to achieve.

Our 2009 Murray to Moyne raised $30,000 towards the purchase of a portable ultrasound machine for the Emergency Department.  Partnership funding was sought and we have recently been advised our application to the Collier Charitable Fund for $30,000 was successful, which enable the purchase of a portable ultrasound machine costing $60,000.

A replacement program for our intravenous pumps has been identified as the priority for fundraising this year.  These pumps are used throughout the entire hospital in a range of circumstances including general fluid, medication infusion and blood transfusions and are also used to measure and deliver intravenous fluids and drug infusions to patients. With your assistance, we plan to purchase 10 new pumps this year at a cost of $35,000. We propose to purchase pumps which also have an added safety feature to allow hospital drug protocols to be loaded into each individual pump. This assists nurses when setting up the pump to deliver the correct infusion rates.   Each pump costs approximately $3,500 and will ensure that we have the most efficient and up-to-date equipment available.

Support for the Murray to Moyne fundraising effort is greatly appreciated and valued.  By committing to become a sponsor, you will be assisting to ensure the improvement of health services to the Echuca–Moama region.
