Port to Port Cycle Tour 2008

On Friday 7th november 2008, 22 riders and six support crew travelled to Mildura to tackle the 400 km Port to Port Cycling Tour.

The team travelled to Mildura on Friday, and got an ‘early night’ in preparation for the 250 km trek to Swan Hill on the Saturday leg.

Saturday night was spent at the Pioneer Settlement in Swan Hill, where the team was treated to a home-style roast dinner and campfire session.

Sunday’s leg is considered more ‘relaxing’, only a lazy 150 km from Swan Hill to Echuca, and with beautiful weather, it really turned out to be an enjoyable ride.

Many thanks to all of the riders, and to the support crew of Geoff and Barbara Westwood, Barry and Kerry Cox and massage therapists (who apparently worked harder than the riders) Annie Barton and Tracey Ritchie.

Thanks also to the Echuca Hotel and A’Quality Water for their support.
